Sweet & Spicy Salt Rim

  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

Spicy Grapefruit Margarita

  • 1.5 oz. tequila
  • 1 oz Cointreau
  • 3 oz fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 2 slices jalapenos + extra for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon agave nectar
  • Ice
  • Grapefruit slice, garnish
  • Jalapeno slices, garnish


  1. In a small bowl, mix together chili powder, kosher salt, and sugar. Lightly coat rim of glass with lime juice. Dip rim of glass into sweet & spicy salt rim mixture. Set glass aside.
  2. In a cocktail shaker add tequila, Cointreau, grapefruit and lime juices, jalapeno slices, and agave nectar. Let sit for a few moments to allow the jalapeno to infuse into the mixture. Add ice to cocktail shaker and give it a few good shakes to make sure everything is mixed together. Serve over ice with grapefruit and jalapeno slices. Cheers!
